A child’s world should be bright with love, filled with laughter, and colored with play. They should be able to run and play without fear, learn without barriers, and fall asleep safely with a full stomach. Sadly, for millions of children, this remains only a dream.

Today, 1 in 5 children around the world lives in extreme poverty. For orphan children, who face not only material deprivation but also emotional loss, the reality is even harsher.

Since 1986, Islamic Relief has been standing by orphaned children, working to make them feel they are not alone, providing the support they need, and helping them hold on to life.

Today, we support over 85,000 orphaned children in 22 countries. In Türkiye alone, we provide regular support to more than 4,000 orphans, ensuring access to education, healthy nutrition, safe environments, and psychosocial development.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. (Bukhari)
