Gaza is on the brink of famine. More than one million people are facing life-threatening food shortages. Children and the elderly are already dying from hunger.

Israel’s obstruction of humanitarian aid, the use of hunger as a weapon of war, and the targeting of civilians trying to reach aid convoys are deepening this crisis even further. The situation has also been worsened by some countries withdrawing support from UNRWA, the main humanitarian actor in Gaza.

People in Gaza are enduring unimaginable suffering. Tens of thousands of homes have been destroyed under relentless attacks. Four out of five people have been forced to flee their homes. Many have taken shelter in hospitals and schools, yet they still cannot access enough food or necessities.

Islamic Relief is delivering hot meals to more than 140,000 people every day.

This support is vital for families battling hunger, but it is not enough. Many still go days without eating anything at all. Every passing minute puts more lives at risk.

More than one million people are in danger. Time is running out. Emergency aid must be scaled up immediately to ensure food and essential supplies reach those in desperate need.
